ive gotten myself a pen pal in good ol aussie country! sure itd be easy to contact eachother super quick on the internet through email or the millions of social networks out there (even tho we've already connected that way also hahah) but we're takin it old school with letters and postcards. the last thing i sent was a handmade postcard drawing i made of/for her. glad you like it! im still workin on some other stuff to send ya girl. blah i take forever!--i just been slackin--like with most things :\

Hello from hiatus!

sigh i done did it again. i let things take over and drive me to be crazy lazy and not update. i havent been drawing lately either! been in a mess of things, got a change of scenery, had summer school, and celebrated my birthday :) my niece even made me a card. &the homie johnny swung by with some paper toys for us to assemble together. and as you can see, we're all still pretty stuck on adventure time.

but i AM goin to get back into the drawing hype! i went to the zoo today, on a cold saturday (by myself because i dont have friends) and brought a fresh notebook with me. drew them animals all day. i had an ostrich stare me down and everything, chill birrrrd im just tryin to get your good siiiiide. i had alotta fun just takin the time out to do this, made me miss it that much more.

here's a quick animation i did of a boy and his swing. it's only about 30 seconds long but damn, this thing took hours and hours to make. makes you think of these full length animated films of like two hours, and im going crazy just trying to create something that is merely half a minute. im still proud of it though.. i cant wait to enroll in an animation class in the fall :)

so im way past the 3digit mark of being overseas. excuse the lack of updates. its been quite hectic with all the fam that came to visit. it's my sister + her boyfriend this time. we've already went to barcelona/spain and we've just arrived in basel/switzerland. zürich tomorrow for two days, back to london for another few, and then i'll be home in no time!

Damn gorillaz!

i saw them last week; and woooooow. they put on such an amazing show. there was so much energy in the arena; everybody was jumping and dancing the entire time. you can just feel the music! it was probably one of the best concerts ive ever been to :) ughhh i loved it!

Who draws on clothes anymore?

i got an ugly black burn mark on my favorite pair of shorts somehow. too torn to throw them away, i just drew a flower to play it off. ta-da! i can keep wearing these babies. hahah talk about a quick fix.

made me think about how awesome it was to draw on your clothes. i remember when a whole mess of girls had their friends' names tagged all over their jeans in high school. or the tee that everyone wrote on at the end of the school year :)
