it;s 430am so i totally missed the official april fools mark.
so i decided to draw up a quick comic about being late on it and being "late" also.

Careers in animation.

animators, voice-over directors, producers, computer-riggers, game designers, imagineer. im in a room with very experienced and talented people right meow. im at a panel discussion on careers in animation at school on this fine sunday afternoon. a few of these folks are graduates from sfsu too :) getting pretty inspired + motivated with all the information/advice they're givin us on hiring, reels, resumes, and all that good stuff!

no true legitimate excuse from me..but i have gotten a new job & new armcandy. im also finishing up school (which still isn't a real excuse since im really only taking two courses) and i have been doin a lot of traveling (soooo pretty much defines lazy). BUT STILLLLLLL

a quick animation i did for class. we were assigned to animate an element, and since the paper i did back in the beginning of the semester incorporated wind, i chose water for this one. i cant help but play my animations over and over and just laugh. oh you poor hilarious mushroom. i hope you enjoy it as much as i do. i posted this awhile ago but totally forgot about it!

Bonkers for buttons!

got myself into a little button making sesh the other day and it was quite lovely. these are a collection of buttons that include a photo of myself, a photo of a phillie cat, magazine/lettering book clippings (juxtapoz, canvas, house industries), and an anchor i drew. follow me on instagram for meng on the daily! things i do, eat, and wear. so technically, stalking is encouraged. i update that more than i do here.

this is one of the anchor rejects that have grown on me, therefore no longer a reject ;)

felt silly makin this since i did it on my own: alone on a cold night, camera on self timer, and makin myself pose in awkward position after awkward position. but still had fun tho. cheers to blowin--

Metamorphosis animation!

i dreaded this assignment at first because trying to make him run in the beginning was taking soooo long--but i had a lot fun making all the transitions after that. especially since i had my cousin give me his input and he was able to watch my process of his ideas come to life ;) thanks homie!

ive gotten myself a pen pal in good ol aussie country! sure itd be easy to contact eachother super quick on the internet through email or the millions of social networks out there (even tho we've already connected that way also hahah) but we're takin it old school with letters and postcards. the last thing i sent was a handmade postcard drawing i made of/for her. glad you like it! im still workin on some other stuff to send ya girl. blah i take forever!--i just been slackin--like with most things :\
